What are "Gas" and "Gas Fees"?

Modified on Wed, 4 Sep at 10:09 AM

Gas is the cost of the computational resources required to complete a cryptocurrency transaction. The fee is charged by your crypto wallet and typically fluctuates based on network congestion (supply and demand). If paying with crypto, your wallet must have sufficient funds to cover your purchase plus your wallet's gas fee.
